People! I do not believe in vampires. I just find it utterly hilarious at peoples responses to these sort of questions. I personally love all horror/supernatural literature.
For me this is a hard question to answer. Interested in what you all think..

I think the Frankenstein monster is the most classic and enduring. Even loved it in Mel Brooks’ "Young Frankenstein".
Zombies. Vampires are a close second, and lycanthropes tie with them, but for me zombies are the ultimate.
for me it’s Pinhead from Hellraiser..was first on paper in a short story Hellbound Heart by Clive Barker.
Well, personally I do like vampires. I love Nosferatu, Lost Boys, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the movie) was a funny take on them. I like Frankenstein’s monster also. The Creature from the Black Lagoon scared me as a kid. And since they are monsters, and it is a book – the wild things from Where the Wild Things Are are high on my list, especially Bernard, the blue one on the cover.
Jason Voorhees, a tragic death leads to an unstoppable killer on a quest for vengance.
Count Dracula.
Godzilla
La Femme from À l’intérieur aka Inside
the mouse in Mouse Hunt lol.
The "Boogie Man", Michael Myers from Halloween.
Well as much as I enjoy a good vampire flick most of which came out of the 80s my answer would be Godzilla. First monster movie I saw as a kid was Godzilla vs Ghidrah (monster zero or king ghidrah)
